This section was an advertising section paid for by the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona and the Indian Gaming Association. The goal of the section, a first of its kind in Arizona, was to educate the public on the various tribes throughout Arizona. Although the tribes paid for the section, the Custom Publications staff wrote the majority of the stories and had almost total creative control. It was so well received that we had over 900 requests from readers for extra copies. These requests came from individuals, schoolteachers, and even FBI agents. In addition, Tucson (where it also ran) requested 10,000 additional copies. The section generated over $90,000 in revenue.
